ASIS International Announces 2008 Board of Directors

September 25, 2007

Timothy L. Williams, CPP, was elected today by the Board of Directors of ASIS International (ASIS)—the preeminent organization for security management professionals worldwide—to become its president for 2008. Williams succeeds Steve D. Chupa, CPP, who will become ASIS chairman of the board.

In their leadership positions, both Williams and Chupa will also serve on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, a group that directs the activities of ASIS between meetings of the full Board. The ASIS Board of Directors elects the Executive Committee annually. Today's vote took place at a Board meeting at the ASIS International 53rd Annual Seminar and Exhibits being held this week (Sept. 24-27) in Las Vegas.

Sworn in at the same time as new members to the Board, the 2008 ASIS Executive Committee is comprised of five people:

• Steve D. Chupa, CPP, Chairman of the Board; he is the Director of

Security, Worldwide Security Group, Johnson & Johnson

• Timothy L. Williams, CPP, President; he is Director of Global

Security, Caterpillar

• Michael R. Cummings, CPP, President-elect; he is Director of Loss

Prevention Services for Aurora Health Care

• Joseph R. Granger, CPP, Treasurer; he is Security Director, United

Space Alliance

• Raymond T. O'Hara, CPP, Secretary; he is Senior Vice President,

Vance International Inc.

In August, ASIS announced the election of four new members, and the re-

election of an existing member, to serve on its 16-member Board of Directors for the 2008-2010 term. The new directors are:

• Chad Callaghan, CPP, Vice President, Enterprise Loss Prevention,

Marriott International Inc.

• Kaj Moller, Corporate Security Manager, Novo Nordisk

• Raymond T. O'Hara, CPP, Senior Vice President, Vance International

Inc.

• Dave N. Tyson, CPP, Chief Security Officer, City of Vancouver

• Joseph R. Granger, CPP, Security Director for the United Space

Alliance, was re-elected to a second term on the Board

Other members of the Board include:

• Marene Allison, Vice President of Security for Medco

• Geoff Craighead, CPP, Vice President, High Rise & Real Estate

Services for Securitas Security Services USA

• David C. Davis, CPP, Director, Division Security for Northrop Grumman

• Eduard J. Emde, CPP, Manager Consultancy for Interseco
