Yuval Alter is a Junior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who escaped via the back of the neighboring Middle School, Westglades, immediately after the first few shots. She is a member of National Art Honor Society and Science National Honor Society.

I just came out of a meeting addressing campus lockdowns and mass notification when my phone started buzzing. The Broward County Sheriff Department’s Alertify message stared me in the face – Active Shooter at my daughter’s school.

ON DEMAND: Business-impacting events such as severe weather, man-made disasters, and supply chain disruption are increasing in frequency and making impacts around the globe.

Video analytics has come a long way in the past two years. Improvements to edge-based data algorithms have helped companies like Public Storage reduce the number of false alarms and protect properties better than ever before.
