Prepared for any emergency, Louisa County Public Schools enhance security and emergency response with Valerus VMS

Vicon Industries, Inc., designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, hardware and components, announced today that Louisa County Public Schools in Northern Virginia has completed installation of a district-wide Vicon Valerus video management solution that encompasses its six school buildings and connects nearly 400 cameras.
“Given today’s climate regarding security, we have to be able to optimize our security presence on campus as much as possible,” says Frank Solano, Security Systems Manager for McCormick Place. “That means using technology and other tools to keep our visitors safe."
Many incidents today are captured on video. That’s because there is an increasing number of surveillance devices, cellphones and body cameras collecting information. There’s no denying that this video technology is extremely beneficial to organizations that need to solve a crime, identify a suspect or disprove a liability claim. However, with so much evidence available, the process of collecting, managing and sharing video during an investigation has become very expensive and time-consuming.
