A bill allowing public access to information maintained by campus police affiliated with private and non-profit institutions of higher education in North Carolina has become law.
The labor union representing the Yale Police Department, condemned new administrative policy on police and security deployment, which they said jeopardizes student safety.
The university's recently accredited police force spurred on the school's board of trustees to unanimously vote to allow the campus officers to carry firearms.
