Allied Universal has acquired American Security. Founded in 1975 by retired South Carolina Highway Patrol Sergeant Henry Harrison, American Security has more than 1,200 employees and serves the Southeastern United States, including Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. American Security provides a range of services, though their core business is guarding. 

This latest acquisition adds to Allied Universal's global network of more than 800,000 employees and revenues around $20 billion.
