The Camden Yards Sports Complex, home of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, will beta test a concealed weapons detection system starting in early 2022.

The Maryland Stadium Authority, a unit of the state government and owner of Camden Yards, will equip the sports complex with the HEXWAVE system from Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. The Camden Yard Sports Complex has a combined seating capacity of over 115,000 attendees.

The threat detection system uses low-power radar imaging and artificial intelligence to detect all types of concealed weapons for walkthrough, high throughput people screening. It can be used indoor and outdoor as part of a layered defense so that threats can be detected early, at the perimeter of the property or at checkpoints and without compromising social distancing or the enjoyment of fans.
