Village Hotels is a lifestyle hotel brand with over 30 locations across the United Kingdom, offering meeting facilities, workspaces and leisure activities alongside guest rooms. With around 2,500 employees at any given time and a high turnover of employees synonymous with the hospitality sector, the internal Human Resources and Information Technology (IT) departments were struggling to effectively manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees, as well as the ongoing management of business critical data.

Previously, Village Hotels IT staff had to manually update user access rights and transfer data between current and former employees each time an employee joined or left the business. In order to automate this process, the hotel group implemented a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution from CloudM, including initial migrations through to onboarding and offboarding employees, data management and license archiving.

The SaaS provider also allows Village Hotels to store and recover user data through its Archive feature, which aims to help businesses remain compliant without facing the mounting user license fees associated with traditional archiving solutions.
