Swedish firm SJ AB has equipped its train staff with VB400 body-worn cameras from to enhance safety and security across the rail network. The cameras, furnished by Motorola Solutions, will provide another layer of surveillance on train platforms and in cabin environments.

The rugged VB400 body-worn cameras provide a recording function and a 12 hour battery life. The device can be assigned using an employee’s ID badge at the start of the shift and is activated by the wearer. Swedish Rail is deploying the body-worn cameras with evidence management software to upload and manage the recorded video as part of SJ AB’s everyday workflows.

SJ AB will also receive 24/7 technical and maintenance support, including software updates to introduce new features and advancements to the body-worn cameras as they become available.
