Sara Avery has joined Cenlar FSB, a mortgage loan subservicer, as Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Avery will spearhead the firm's risk management efforts as CRO by enhancing and identifying opportunities in their current risk framework.

Prior to joining Cenlar, Avery was the CRO for Common Securitization, a financial technology joint venture that supports back office securitization for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. In this role, she developed and built out the Enterprise Risk Management function, including implementation of risk policies and standards, RCSA, KRIs and monitoring and first line management testing.

Avery also spent nearly a decade working in a variety of leadership roles across risk management, including risk, credit risk and third party risk management.
