The Safetrust IoT Sensor is a new generation of network-enabled door readers that includes the traditional RFID and mobile credential technology but expands upon that as a platform for sensors. The fully managed IoT device bridges the traditional standalone door reader requirements with the modern need for devices to be managed according to information technology standards. The technology supports ‘Bring Your Own Key’ (BYOK) so organizations can choose card manufacturers that best suit their design needs and pricing. It also supports BLE and NFC, and uses Wi-Fi for remote updates, configuration and diagnostics, making centralized management possible.
