The Wisconsin Department of Justice has awarded grants to close to 300 school districts and private schools, awarding 40 more on Tuesday.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the money comes from a $100 million grant fund put into the state budget in April to improve school security after the shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February. The grant money is used to enhance door and window security, and for mental health training for staff.
