The Military Times has ranked the 10 best cybersecurity programs for veteran and military-connected students.

The top 10 are:

1.     Syracuse University
2.     The University of Nebraska at Omaha
3.     Dakota State University
4.     University of Maryland University College
5.     University of South Florida
6.     Kennesaw State University
7.     Lewis University
8.     Armstrong State University
9.     University of Southern California
10.     Texas A&M University

To make the list, the publication's second annual ranking of cybersecurity programs, schools first had to participate in its recent survey of colleges used to compile its 2018 Military Times Best: Colleges rankings last fall. How schools fared in those rankings accounted for half of their performance on the cybersecurity list.

It also factored in distinctions schools earned from the National Security Agency, or NSA, in cyber defense and information assurance education, as well accreditations in computer science from global accreditor ABET. In addition, the rankings consider the proportion of a school’s degrees related to cybersecurity.
