Woman Files Suit Against FSU After Sexual Harassment Claims
The woman who accused Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston of sexual assault has filed a civil suit against the university’s board of trustees, according to a Fox News report. The suit claims FSU had knowledge of her alleged sexual harassment and discrimination by Winston, and that it created a hostile educational environment for her.
According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the suit claims that FSU’s athletic department knew of the December 2012 incident, but did not inform school administrators about it until nearly a year later. The suit also claims that the university did not interview her to determine whether federal Title IX laws had been violated until this past August.
