Macy’s Launches Line of Bags, Briefcases and Wallets with Fingerprint Recognition
Macy’s, Inc. has launched a new line of luxury handbags, briefcases, and wallets that are integrated with fingerprint recognition, RFID blocking technology, and GPS technology.
Design by Macy’s first luxury technology designer, Royce Leather CEO Andrew Royce Bauer, the collection features the world’s first security bag integrated with DNA based fingerprint technology, said a Biometric Update report.
Featuring hand-milled hardware coupled with Italian Saffiano Leather, the Royce Leather Freedom Briefcase enables only a single user to access the bag by scanning his or her fingerprint.
The security of the bag is reaffirmed by U.S. government-certified radio frequency identification blocking technology to prevent electronic identity theft.
The collection is available exclusively at Macy’s and includes bags, wallets, and handbags for men and women.
