FIFA says World Cup stadium security will be tightened after an England fan made it into a changing room and confronted David Beckham following the team’s 0-0 draw against Algeria.

 

FIFA spokesman Nicolas Maingot says that “security will be tightened so this never happens again.”

 

The local organizing committee says it is waiting for police to investigate the incident and provide a report.

 

Organizers added that the fan was in room for a few seconds before being led out, but would not comment upon reports that he had then been released and his identity was unknown.
