The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance has formed the Systems Working Group that will provide architecture and design leadership in PSIA areas that span multiple working groups to ensure cohesive system designs that assure interoperability across all technical segments of the industry.

The Group will work with PSIA’s four other working groups — Area Control, IP Video, Recording and Content Management, and Video Analytics — to develop standards, specifications and supporting materials that work to promote interoperable IP solutions.

 

The working group is currently developing a common metadata/event model specification to ensure all forms of data are accessible across all IP products. It is also creating DNS-SD/mDNS reference topologies for discovery, and systemwide identity management and systems-based time management definitions.
