Applications Manage, Protect Networked-Based ID Card Systems
Fargo Electronics Inc. has recently introduced the Print Security Manager and Print Security Client, a combination of printer network and security software applications for managing and protecting networked-based ID card systems. The Print Security Manager can remotely configure and manage networked ID card printer/encoders and provide detailed information about card printer status and ribbon use, among other details. It adds layers of management and card issuance protection. Print Security Client is for individual card printer workstations. The security imaging application adds covert security features such as customized logos and unique numbers to ID cards. These are viewable under ultraviolet light. Security managers can also set passwords within the printer to avoid unauthorized use.
