With drug testing losing appeal by major U.S. firms (down to 66 percent last year compared to 81 percent in 1996), due in part to very low failure rates, temporary employment agencies that drug test report being squeezed by high failure rates in a tight market. That failure rate can range from 10 to 40 percent of those potential temps sticking around to take the test.
