Failing Internet Security

Earlier this summer, the U.S. Senate subcommittee on science, technology and space heard some challenging news about Internet protection. "Security is failing us," Harris Miller of the Information Technology Association of America told the subcommittee. Many in Congress and business as well as some in information technology firms believe tougher, more detailed, specific legislation is needed. Others feel that law enforcement and prosecutors need to better apply current theft and privacy laws.
