International Fiber Systems Inc. (IFS) of Newton, Conn., introduced two new products designed to increase transmission distances without reducing functionality and quality. The IFS SGBT/SGBR1000 Series was designed to extend the transmission distances of Siedle’s SIC-3000 Global BUS. The video transceivers support bi-directional transmission of 10-bit digitally encoded video, 20-bit digitally encoded audio, data transmission, and contacts over one single-mode or multimode optical fiber.
