A new type of security project is taking off at the Kansas City Airport. A collaboration of Melville, N.Y.-based Verint Systems and IBM, the project is less traditional security with more emphasis on analytic software-based solutions for communications interception, networked video security and surveillance, and business intelligence. Kansas City International Airport (KCI) is one of the country’s largest commercial airports serving approximately 10 million passengers in last year.

The airport selected the Verint solution as part of a sweeping Terminal Improvement Project, which includes enhanced facilities and security systems.
