Focuses Infrared Beam for Clear Night Images without Costly Lighting

SNP-6200RH (Spider-Cam) Camera from Samsung

Designed for applications where perimeter security is vital, but lighting may be cost-prohibitive, this IP pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) network dome camera features 20x optical zoom, full HD image capture and built-in LEDs for nighttime viewing at distances up to 328 feet (100 meters). The IR light beam focuses as the camera zooms, resulting in clear imaging of the target view. The camera produced full HD 1920x1080p resolution, and it is also ONVIF-compliant and weatherproof (IP66 standards) and IK10 vandal-resistant. It also includes Universal Plug and Play, eight privacy masking zones and bi-directional audio. The camera was ranked among the Top Ten technologies in the ASIS Accolades 2013.

Access Control without Keys, Cards or Codes

Digital Doorman from FST21

This biometric fusion technology provides identity authentication at the door using a combination of facial, voice and behavioral recognition, which removes the need for keys, cards or door codes. The system includes SafeRise software, an all-in-one server, a full IP intercom with digital directory and a 5-megapixel camera, and it can be installed on any door with an electronic lock. Installation takes 90 minutes, and enrollment takes only 30 seconds. The program identifies registered users as they walk toward an access point by using a combination of biometrics, greet them and allow access, and it works for multiple guests at the same point simultaneously. Visitors can be sent a graphical tag prior to their arrival, which can be shown to the camera on a smartphone screen to enable access. Digital Doorman was one of the Top Ten technologies in the 2013 ASIS Accolades.

Enables Easy System Migration through Easy Data Transfer

iCLASS SE Encoder from HID Global

This desktop solution and developer toolkit enables enterprises to encode and instantly issue cards using a single device, which gives security leaders the convenience of encoding a broad range of current and upcoming technologies, with the option to create and manage keys and configure readers locally or through HID’s Security Identity Services. This encoder helps users to easily migrate from one technology to another by simply extracting access control data from an existing card and writing it on the new credential without having to manually input data or understand encoding details. For additional security, users can “wrap” their access control data within a Security Identity Object (SIO) and then write it back to the same card. The iCLASS SE Encoder was included among the 2013 ASIS Accolades Top Ten.

Offers Elegant Access Control on Unconventional Entryways

R100 Surface Mounted Wireless Reader from Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group company

For glass, stone, granite or marble entryways, creating solid, reliable access control can mean marring the architecture with drilling, pulling wires to the door and installing conspicuous equipment. This reader uses wireless communication between the reader and an Aperio hub to connect the access control system. Installation requires no drilling or pulling of wires to the door, and the device can even be adhered to the outside of a glass door in a few minutes. The R100 Reader was one of the 2013 ASIS Accolades Top Ten.

Extends Iris and Face Authentication to the Perimeter

IOM PassThru Drive-Up Biometric System from SRI International Sarnoff

Extending the use of identity authentication to the perimeter, this drive-up biometric system can replace RFID cards, passcodes or even security officers while adding the ability to know who just entered the gate. The use of iris biometrics also reduces the opportunity for access credentials to be shared or stolen like cards or passcodes can be. The system works in indoor and outdoor locations, regardless of time of day, sun position or shadows. The identity verification process works with drivers in vehicles of various heights. The drive-through system brings the option of biometric verification to border crossings and critical infrastructures to parking garages and drive-through banking. The system was honored as one of the Top Ten of the 2013 ASIS Accolades.

Leverages Legacy Investments While Providing Scalable Network Video Solution

M7016 and P7216 Video Encoders from Axis Communications

There are tens of millions of analog cameras still in use around the world, and these video encoders help enterprise security leaders leverage those assets while providing a scalable solution to network video at an effective price point. These two encoders address the needs of small- to mid-sized applications where cost and scalability are often barriers to fully embracing IP video. These devices utilize one single network port, instead of a typical four, to drive down overall cost and port density of the surveillance system infrastructure. The P7216 version includes audio and I/O ports, and it is equipped with a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) slot for use with fiber optics.
