The Hand-E-Wave series by Essex Electronics now includes an optional manual override button. Developed when the Ebola virus was starting to have an impact on healthcare facilities, Hand-E-Wave is used to replace mechanical push plates in many additional public areas including corporate offices, commercial retail, schools and government facilities. With an adjustable 2 to 24-inch detection range, its touchless activation aims to help reduce the spread of viruses, germs, bacteria and infectious diseases commonly found on doors and mechanical switches. Hand-E-Wave features a stainless steel or white powder coat faceplate and a recessed design which makes it easy to clean and sanitize. Visual and selectable audio feedback occurs when motion is detected within the detection zone.
