The Intelligent Reader Module (IRM) from Compass Technologies, Inc. is designed to facilitate rapid and reliable access control and alarm monitoring. Small in size (6" x 4.5" x 1.5"), the IRM is packed with powerful features such as two definable reader ports, eight multi-state inputs, and four multi-purpose outputs. Advanced auto-recognition and auto-configuration modes detect, program and download necessary data to the IRM for fully distributed processing, and program the front-end PC with user-defined default data. Up to 32 IRMs may be multi-dropped on a single communication line. The IRM will support multiple reader types up to 64 bits and is compatible with most all reader technologies.
