S2 Integrates DVRs with Netbox

S2 Security Corp., Wellesley, Mass., debuted support for Dedicated Micros’ NetVu Connected digital video recorders as part of version 2.0 of its S2 NetBox product line at the latest ASIS trade event in Orlando, Fla. The integration delivers high quality, high frame rate video of both current and recorded scenes to users through a common Web browser. Events detected by the access control and alarm monitoring systems can initiate video recording; likewise, video motion detection by the recorder can trigger alarms on the NetBox.

Integral to Play Vital Role in Miami Dade Installation

Integral Technologies, Indianapolis, announced that its Continuum line of access control solutions will be used in a completely unique $1.86 million installation for the Miami Dade Water Utilities Facilities in Miami Dade County, Fla. The installation, awarded to integrator ATC Intl., who teamed with Integral to design and develop the RFID technology-based system, will provide access control and asset (equipment, personnel, vehicles) tracking for the county’s five water treatment plants, along with its well fields and pump stations spread throughout the county.

New York and Texas Working Together

Speco Technologies, Amityville, N.Y., recently announced that Performance Reps LLP (PRI) of Rockwall, Texas, has joined the company’s representative sales force team. They will be serving the professional security, commercial and residential video and audio markets in Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. PRI currently serves the electronic distribution, electronic OEM and electrical markets in the state of Texas and elsewhere.

March Networks Wins Digital Video Deal

March Networks, Ottawa, has been selected to provide its DVRs and Enterprise Management Suite software to Mexico City-based Grupo Financiero Scotiabank Inverlat. To date, Scotiabank Inverlat has upgraded approximately half of its 400-plus bank branch locations with March Networks DVRs and software. The remaining branches in Mexico are scheduled to have new systems installed by mid-2006.
