VIR Motion Detector Reduces False Alarms
May 1, 2005
Security Labs Inc., Noblesville, Ind., has developed a new product to aid in the reduction of false alarms, the VIR, which combines video motion detection and passive infrared into one unit to avoid false alarms common to either system. In the VIR, both technologies must agree on the conditions for a trigger before an alarm activation is generated, thereby overcoming the common reasons for motion detection false alarm activations.
