Network Digital Video Recorder
May 8, 2002
From Axis Communications, the AXIS 2460 Network Digital Video Recorder stores images across several drives, rather than storing a full day of data on one drive. If a disk within the AXIS 2460 DVR fails, only one-fourth of the day’s data will be lost, instead of images from the entire day. Uses APViS technology, which enables 150 days of storing time, significantly longer than other DVRs. The AXIS 2460 enables prioritized, secure image storage with simultaneous live viewing, playback and recording capabilities from up to four analog cameras. It allows remote accessibility and administration over networks such as Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN).
