The Federal Trade Commission launched a new tool that explores data about problems military consumers may experience in the marketplace. For the first time, data about reports the FTC has received from active duty service members and veterans will be available online in an interactive dashboard at ftc.gov/explore data.

Yesterday (July 1, 2020) marked the official deadline to achieve compliance of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

According to a Linklaters analysis, there has been a major increase of data breach notifications to data protection authorities, with an average increase in notifications of 66 percent compared to Year 1 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’).

One of the many topics that the Attorney General’s office discussed was the final regulation’s requirements for drafting privacy policies. Given that the drafting of a privacy policy is a necessary part of CCPA compliance, it is worth analyzing those comments.
