The Indian Head Park Village Board in Illinois proposed 13 potential goals for the 2021/22 fiscal year, and cumulatively, security cameras came out on top. Indian Head Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, outside of Chicago with a population just under 4,000 in the 2010 census.

The board and Indian Head Park Police Chief Steven Stelter said they would like 12 to 16 cameras around the city at the entrances to neighborhoods and subdivisions and other strategic location at streets and intersections.

While the security cameras would not be in response to any increase in crime in the area, the cameras would rather be an aid to help police respond to events and investigate crimes that have occurred. e expects they will be used most often to investigate crimes that have occurred.
