Colorado State University Global (CSU Global) announces its new Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity.

The need for cybersecurity professionals has never been greater with 51 percent of U.S. firms indicating that their network needs more protection, says a Forbes report. CSU Global aims to prepare professionals for the continuing growth expected within the cybersecurity field. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job market for Information Security Analysts will grow 32 percent over the next 10 years, says a BLS report, making it one of the fastest-growing areas of IT.

The CSU Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity was developed in alignment with leading industry-recognized certifications — including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Encryption Specialist (EC-Council ECES) and CompTIA Security+ — to provide students with pathways to the professional credentials employers seek while completing their bachelor’s degree from a fully online, accredited state university.

“Students in this program will be able to pursue careers in network security, cybersecurity management, cybersecurity forensic analysis, and cybersecurity operations,” said Dr. Manish Patel, Program Manager for the Information Technology and Security programs at CSU Global. “This program provides the key knowledge and skills for students to recognize, prevent, and prepare for cyberattacks of the future, no matter than previous technical experience or background.”

Enrollment for the program is open now, with cybersecurity courses offered each month.
