Yahoo will pay $117.5 million to settle the data breaches that occurred between 2012-2016.
According to a news report, beyond enhancing their security systems, Yahoo will offer $117.5 million to those affected. However, the company announced it will also offer an alternative, which is two free years of credit monitoring. According to the report, those affected by the Yahoo breach will need to provide proof they've had credit monitoring.
