Patrick Neise has joined Groove as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Neise is a former Director of Operations for the NSA Red Team with expertise in protecting information systems from cyber threats.

Neise balances out 20 years of service in the submarine and cryptography communities of the US Navy with security leadership and consultant roles across a range of public and private companies, technology startups and major defense contractors. After retiring from the US Navy in 2014, Neise has devoted his career to helping organizations implement systems to support the rapid iteration of secure and reliable products. 

Neise holds a D.Eng in Engineering Management from George Washington University, an MS in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technical Institute, an MA in Information Technology Management from Webster University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
