Richneck Elementary School, the Virginia school where a 6-year-old allegedly shot his teacher, has reopened its doors with new safety protocols.
As students arrived back on campus, there was additional police presence to assist with the transition. All students received a clear book bag to bring home and use for their belongings. Clear-bag policies have been adopted at other schools to monitor students' belongings. Any non-clear items such as a lunch or sport bag will pass through a metal detector and are subject to search. All students and visitors must enter and exit the school building from the front main doors.
