Amherst College hires consultants to determine whether armed police officers should be removed from campus
Amherst College is hiring a consulting firm to help it determine whether armed campus police officers should be removed from campus. According to Carolyn Martin, President of the Massachusetts-based college, the school is one of two New England colleges with armed police on campus right now.
She said that the college wants to reevaluate the safety and security needs of the students, faculty and campus community.
