Bridgeport, Connecticut awarded close to half a million for port security
The City of Bridgeport in Connecticut announced a $433,616 federal grant to improve port security and water rescue equipment to ensure that the city's security infrastructure is established, and able to save lives and property.
According to a press release from the city, the allocation of the federal port security grant will benefit three City of Bridgeport projects, including a port initiative that will replace 25 cameras, one server, and nine wireless links at Bridgeport Harbor, as well as replace 15 cameras and installation of 10 cameras at the Bridgeport Ferry Terminal. Port Critical Infrastructure Key Resources Ingress/Egress routes will receive 25 access points, 50 camera licenses, labor and hardware.
