Greenville, S.C. Mayor Knox White and city council members have allocated $100,000 in funds to the Greenville Police Department.

Police Chief Ken Miller said, "This year, what we're using the money for in particular are breaching tools," to a news report. Miller says the funds will be used to obtain specialized equipment, such as squad cars, active shooter tools, body cameras and many more tools.

"Body cameras often times help tell the story we might not be able to tell otherwise," said Miller to the news report. "It tells what everybody should know and understand about an interaction between a police officer and a member of the public. Body cameras have really helped us understand the performance of our officers."
