University of North Florida Opens Cybersecurity Lab
The University of North Florida is opening a new cybersecurity lab in its School of Computing.
The school is working with an international supplier of electric payment terminals and transaction software, according to a news report. According to the university, the supplier gifted $100,000 to go toward scholarships, research projects and graduate assistantships. The lab, which can accommodate 30 students at a time, will be equipped with new technologies and software to train students for future careers in cybersecurity, notes the report. The University is hoping to have the lab finished in the next two weeks.
