Employee Theft of American Express Card Data
Some American Express card members' accounts may have been compromised by an employee's recent theft of data, the company said Thursday.
American Express Co. spokeswoman Susan Korchak said a "relatively small portion" of card members was involved, but declined to be more specific. The former employee has been arrested and the company is investigating how the data was obtained.
