Temtec's self-expiring wristbands expire in one day. They have tamper-indicating printing across the band. This makes transfer of this wristband difficult. If the wristband is cut and rejoined the pattern is disrupted. A one inch "security square" at the tab is the timing indicator. Lightly printed with an anti-counterfeiting pattern, this area is white when issued. It starts to turn red after about eight hours. The next day the security square is covered with red bars. The self-expiring wristbands often are used to handle and manage visitors to an office building. Items can also be used the for special events or to control liquor where the potential of underage drinkers exist.
