Louis Barani, World Trade Center Security Director for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, will keynote this year’s Security 500 Conference on November 1 in New York City.

The World Trade Center was attacked twice: first in 1993 with very limited success and fatally in 2001. The Freedom Tower will be at the center of the world's attention and Lou Barani is the security leader at its core. The rebuilding and opening of the new Freedom Tower integrates the best practices, technology and security programs focused on risk management and unanticipated events front and center.

The 2011 Security 500 Conference is designed to bring you face to face with the most successful leaders who will share their strategies and ideas with industry peers in an interactive format and enjoyable networking environment.

Qualified security practitioners receive complimentary attendance at the 5th Annual Security 500 Conference, sponsored by Security Magazine.  The conference will begin after lunch and conclude with a cocktail reception and the Security 500 Dinner.

The Security 500 Presentation, showcasing our profession’s leaders and their organizations, will be given for the first time by Mark McCourt, Publisher of Security. He will also share the biggest challenges and targets for where billions of dollars will be invested to manage enterprise risk and improve security as identified in the 2011 Security 500 Survey.
