Your Business Magazine in 3D

While the Security 500 survey documented that many security organizational issues are being sorted, don’t expect 2008 to be easy. In an uncertain economy, you can expect budgets to come down even if risk is going up (at this article’s inception, about a 50/50 outlook for recession among the CNBC expert crowd). If selling security was a challenge in good times, one can only imagine the innovative ways Boards will find to say “No” while raising or maintaining performance expectations. The worse case is that we slide back toward a post event vs. a prevention-minded spending behavior. But as we have learned the hard way, (most recently at the Westroads Mall in Omaha) “Please, not here,” is not a security strategy.

As the complexity of the security profession increases, Security Magazine is working to be an ever more important resource for you. Since our premier issue in July 2006 addressing The Changing Role of the Security Executive, Security has uniquely focused its editorial on solutions for enterprise-level security leaders.

And our vision to be “The Business Magazine for Security Executives” has succeeded. Thanks to you, more security and loss prevention managers subscribe to Security than any other security market publication.* In addition to the industry’s leading magazine, Security provides you with integrated media resources including print, face-to-face and online media.

Bill Zalud’s 2008 line-up of critical issues cover stories, solutions focused features and thought-leading columnists include:

Jeffrey Dingle “Get Into Access”

Cynthia Freschi “Video in Focus”

Raymond Dean “Intelligent Integration”

Steve Hunt “Business Matters”

In addition to the private meetings, there are numerous opportunities to network with your peers.

The Security 500 Conference was a huge success this past November, and will be further expanded upon and integrated with Securing New Ground. Our one-day executive management program created in partnership with Bob Hayes’ Security Executive Council brings the best and brightest together to share ideas, network and leave better prepared for the challenges that lay ahead.

You are always welcome to visit our exhibit booth at 13 key industry events in 2008 including ISC West and ASIS. As Security Magazine’s reach becomes global, you will also see us at ISSF in Moscow (February), IFSEC in Birmingham (May) and CPSE in Beijing (November).
