HID Corporation says that it has incorporated its embedded proximity (eProx) technology in an alarm panel for use in business security systems. A user can use a prox card to disarm alarm systems. In addition to bypassing the keypad, users can restrict the use of specfific proximity cards for designated periods of time, helping to ensure that persons gain access when authorized, but not at other times. The eProx alarm panel is currently available through Digital Monitoring Products DMP.
