Continental Access’ CardAccess 3000 allows movement of authorized individuals and badge holder groups between certain floors in a building, and works well in high levels of human traffic such as commercial offices and hotels. It can also be used to prevent unauthorized persons from reaching private floors for high-ranking officials or areas containing classified information and/or expensive inventory. Employees enter their biometrics, PIN codes and/or HID cards into the designated elevator keypad. Elevators that already have existing security appliances such as security video cameras, DVR/NVRs and motion detectors can be networked with CA3000. Security personnel can add, delete or disable employee user codes in seconds, and if an unauthorized person tries to access a restricted floor, the software shows the exact elevator that has been breached.
