The American Association of Port Authorities' (AAPA) 99th Annual Convention and Exhibition, Sept. 19-23, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

 

Convention attendees will have the opportunity to hear perspectives about the critical role of freight gateways and corridors from CN (Canadian National Railway) Executive Vice President J.J. Ruest, who will give the keynote address, and from Canada's former Minister of Industry, Minister of International Trade and Minister of Foreign Affairs, David L. Emerson, who will receive AAPA's Canadian Port Person of the Year Award. The award is presented in recognition of an individual or individuals whose outstanding work or service has made a significant contribution to public port authorities and/or maritime commerce.
