Iranian Apps, Websites Hacked Following US-Israeli Strikes

As reported by Reuters, a wave of cyber operations against Iran took place over the weekend. Internet connectivity reportedly decreased during this time, to a level of connectivity described as negligible.
The observed cyber operations included:
- Hacking of several news websites
- Hacking of a popular religious calendar app
In the hacking of news sites, various messages were put on display by the hackers. This is similar to the case of the app hacking. The app, BadeSaba, which has more than 5 million downloads, displayed messages such as: “It’s time for reckoning.” These messages urged armed forces to surrender weapons and join the people.
Furthermore, there have been reports that cyber operations hit a range of Iranian military targets and government services in order to inhibit a coordinated national response, but Reuters has been unable to independently verify this claim.
