Epstein Files Leak Sensitive Data, Victim Information, and Credentials

Thousands of records released in relation to Jeffrey Epstein have been retracted by the government, as reported by AP News on Feb. 2. According to the report, approximately 100 victims were impacted by inadequate redactions in the latest file release.
Leaked materials included personally identifiable information (PII) such as:
- Photos of potential victims nude
- Names
- Email addresses
One alleged victim of Epstein described this latest file release as “life threatening.” Another claimed to receive death threats after the files exposed her banking information.
Leaked data was not limited to victims. One inadequately redacted email exposed Epstein’s full credit card number, expiration date and security number. A transcript from the investigation of Epstein’s death exposed a jail worker’s entire Social Security number and birth date.
Furthermore, as reported by Cybernews on Feb. 4., certain released Epstein files exposed multiple passwords — many of them reportedly still valid, as users on Reddit are claiming to have accessed several accounts. Exposed accounts apparently include, but are not limited to:
- Outlook
- Yahoo
- Gmail
- Apple ID
Less than 24 hours ago, a Reddit user uploaded a post claiming to have accessed Epstein’s Outlook based on the exposed passwords. Other online individuals have asserted the used password is valid. However some have asserted the claims of these Reddit users are untrue.
