The ASIS Foundation has selected 30 ASIS members to receive this year's Allan J. Cross Award. Established in 1998, these awards pay tuition for either an online or classroom Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) review course. "As more and more corporations are forced to cut their training budgets, the ASIS Foundation is pleased to continue offering awards that help security professionals achieve their professional goals," says David C. Davis, CPP, president, ASIS Foundation.www.asisonline.org
The award honors Allan J. Cross, CPP, one of the early pioneers of ASIS International. The award is made possible, in part, by the generosity of PPM 2000 Inc., a software firm offering incident management solutions. An executive vice president of PPM 2000 until his death in 1996, Cross often pointed to his CPP status with pride. PPM 2000 and the Foundation created this award to celebrate his legacy.
