Edward Parkinson is the President of Public Sector at RapidSOS, the world’s leading emergency response data platform connecting over 300 million people to 5,700+ Emergency Communication Centers (ECCs) across the U.S. With more than 15 years of experience in public safety communications, Edward previously served as CEO of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), overseeing the nationwide broadband network dedicated to first responders. At RapidSOS, he leads engagement with public safety agencies, government partners, and technology providers as the company advances the integration of AI and next-generation 911 technology. Earlier in his career, Edward worked on emergency communications and cybersecurity policy for the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee and in the private sector with McKenna, Long & Aldridge and Kearsarge Global Advisors. He holds degrees from Georgetown University (M.A.) and WITS University in South Africa (B.A., Hons)..
