Avril Eklund is the Head of Global Workplace Experience and Physical Security for GitHub, where she leads the security operations, investigations, intelligence, protective services, crisis management and business continuity teams. In addition to her private-sector experience building security teams for hypergrowth tech startups, Avril has 20 years of experience in law enforcement, retiring as a Senior Supervisory Special Agent from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, where she led the Intelligence Unit. Avril is a Certified Protection Professional with ASIS International, an ASIS CSO Center board member, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
