On Monday, January 21, 2013, the OSAC (Overseas Security Advisory Council) Jakarta Country Council hosted its fifth annual Martin Luther King Charity Golf Scramble.  The Jakarta Country Council is one of the largest and most active Councils, and hosted one of its most successful events yet.

The tournament took place at the Imperial Golf Club in Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang.  The event had a great deal of participation, with 122 players and 46 sponsors from the following industries: banking, mining, energy, communications, private and commercial jets/helicopters, professional movers, hotels, and retail outlets.  The charity golf tournament, which seeks to promote the altruistic spirit of Martin Luther King’s legacy, raised a grand total of $34,000 for three local Indonesian charities: the Jakarta Green Project, Helping Hands Club and Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan.
